Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region launches economic support plan

The Region has announced a 600 million euro support plan, including 252 million euros in direct support. It includes

– 20 million euros for tourism and accommodation companies: The Region will temporarily cover part of your costs and financial charges linked to loans taken out to carry out work, up to a ceiling of €5,000 per company. The rules and regulations and the link to the application submission platform will be available shortly.
– 15 million euros for the events industry
– 15 million euros for cultural players.

At national level, the Ministry of the Economy has announced a number of accompanying measures:

Postponement of social security and/or tax deadlines (URSSAF, taxes);
– If necessary, a debt repayment plan with the support of the French government and the Banque de France;
– Obtaining or maintaining bank credit via Bpifrance, which will act as guarantor for any cash loans companies may need as a result of the epidemic;
Financing employees through the short-time working mechanism;
– Support in dealing with customer or supplier disputes;
– The French government considers the Coronavirus to be a case of force majeure. Penalties for late delivery will not apply to all government contracts;

In addition, “the ministers have asked major contractors to show solidarity with their suppliers and subcontractors, who may find it increasingly difficult to obtain supplies and meet delivery deadlines“.
