by foot or chairlift

It takes just 1h30 from the Prapoutel site to reach Lac de la Jasse to the south-east of Les 7 Laux. In summer, the more adventurous can avoid the 500-meter ascent to reach the lake and discover the magnificent panorama that opens up before them. Those who prefer to save their energy can opt for the Chamois chairlift. From the chairlift, it’s a 15-minute walk to Lac de la Jasse, easily identifiable by its pretty heart shape.

Once at the lake, there’s nothing to stop you walking back down to the resort. It’s a great opportunity to admire the scenery, marvel at the flora and observe the fauna.

You can opt for a weekly pass to take the chairlift and multiply your hiking ideas above Prapoutel.

Family hiking

Hardly visible in winter from the ski slopes of Prapoutel, in summer this small body of water is well known to hikers and can’t be missed. At the foot of the Cime de la Jasse, Lac de la Jasse is an easy family hike (even without taking the chairlift). Surrounded by grass, it makes a perfect picnic spot in a totally bucolic setting at the foot of the Dôme des Oudis.

Thanks to the Chamois chairlift, the hike to Lac de la Jasse is accessible to everyone, including young children. The resort is easily reached by footpaths. However, you’ll need to be well-shod, as access to the lake from the Chamois chairlift is through a scree slope.
