Pissou waterfall

The Pissou waterfall is typical of the waterfalls in Belledonne: set amid lush greenery, it cascades down several drops and winds its way through granite rocks—in contrast to the waterfalls of Chartreuse, which erode limestone and are, for the most part, straight. From the Fond de France parking lot, head toward the Pissou Waterfall, passing through the hamlet of Fond de France. At the France Barral intersection, turn left, still heading toward the Pissou Waterfall. Once you reach Côte Rosset, turn left toward the waterfall. At La Corne, turn right and you’ll reach the waterfall after 300 m. Then return to La Corne and continue along the trail toward Granges de Naime, then La Martinette, until you reach En Collet, following the small lake. From the En Collet intersection, turn left, then left again onto Departmental Road 525A (be careful—you’ll be on this road for 700 m) until you reach the Maison de la Nature. From there, follow a small paved road back to Fond de France, the starting point.
