Slide in

in the skin of a Musher

Meet the sled dogs and their breeders.

Slip into the shoes of a Musher with “le Clos de la Vallée Blanche” at La Ferrrière or Le Pleynet for a day, and forget everything around you to enjoy a moment like no other! You won’t be doing a “dog sledding tour on a snow front”, you’ll be driving your own team. You’ll team up with the dogs, the aim being to better understand how the dog team works. You’ll experience a change of scenery as you “travel” through paths, woods and meadows.

Often rightly praised for their incredible beauty, sled dogs are nonetheless resistant to physical effort and distinguished by their great endurance.

A day out with a sled dog is a unique opportunity to see the mountains from a different angle and to become one with your pack, all in a friendly atmosphere.

Au Pleynet

An original walk

By offering this activity, the “Clos de la Vallée Blanche” farm gives you an insight into a very special way of life that has been used for thousands of years. Away from the hustle and bustle, this activity is a breath of fresh air and an invitation to discover the exceptional panoramas of the 7 Laux and Haut Bréda valleys.

A dog sled ride on the summits of the 7 Laux is like immersing yourself in a practice that has been used since the dawn of time: the dog has long been used in harnesses, but it was with the Inuit people that it came into its own around the 10th century.

Discovering the world of sled dogs is an experience you can share with your family .
