Away from the hustle and bustle of the ski lifts, take the time to breathe and enjoy Nordic skiing in total freedom. Skating or alternating, the cross-country trails of the 7 Laux Nordic ski areas let you practice all the techniques of Nordic skiing.
Depending on the itinerary you choose, you’ll have the chance to overlook the Haut Breda or Grésivaudan valleys.
Several areas dedicated to Nordic skiing
- The Domaine Nordique de Beldina in Prapoutel boasts the largest number of trails of all levels, enabling everyone to enjoy Nordic skiing. The longest loop is a 6 km red loop. The others range from 3 to 5 km, not including the 0.1 km black run, “le défi de Beldina”.
- The “voie blanche d’altitude du Pleynet” offers 3 km of groomed pistes for skating at 1950 m, accessible from the Pincerie chairlift.
- A few kilometers from Les 7 Laux, discover the Barioz ski area. This area offers 52 km of groomed runs for Nordic skiing (skating and alternative) and 8 km of marked snowshoeing trails.

Would you like to learn or improve your Nordic skiing skills? The instructors at Les 7 Laux ski schools will teach you the rudiments and basic techniques to practise Nordic skiing independently, and then take you out onto the 7 Laux Nordic ski area to make the most of its magnificent trails.
