A word from our ambassadors

Meet Timoté

Young, and already so passionate about skiing and the resort, our winter 2020/2021 ambassador Timoté has more than enough to surprise you! Lulled by the rhythm of the winter seasons from an early age, his attachment to the mountains is quickly apparent at the tender age of 11. But who is this “little champion” of the resort? Discover his sparkling portrait, rich in learning.

Can you introduce yourself?

My name is Timoté and I’m 11 years old! I live in Les Adrets, not far from the 7 Laux resort, and I’m currently in 6th grade at Villard-Bonnot secondary school. I’m a member of the FREESKI Co7 Laux club in winter and the GRESIFREERIDE mountain bike club in summer.

Why did you decide to become an ambassador for Les 7 Laux?

I wanted to share my passion for the mountains and encourage people to come and discover our great resort.

What does Les 7 Laux mean to you?

The resort where I learned to ski and where I spend a lot of good times, where I’ve spent all my winters since I was a kid. It really is my favorite ski resort.

How long have you been visiting the resort?

Since I was 1! So that’s about 10 years now! (laughs)

Is there one place you think symbolizes the resort more than any other?

Of course, the black run at Les Vallons du Pra! It’s a well-known slope where good skiers enjoy themselves.

What’s your favorite activity in Les 7 Laux?

Freestyle / Freeride skiing, it’s the perfect resort for these activities! I love making my tracks, jumping and flying!

Can you tell us about your perfect day in the mountains?

Waking up in my apartment at the foot of the slopes with 30 cms of powder having fallen during the night, so that I can go out and make tracks and jumps in the fresh snow!A little burger and fries at lunchtime on a sunny terrace, and at the end of the day a good Nutella pancake! And above all, sharing these moments with friends and family.

Do you have any favorite trails in Les 7 Laux?

Les Vallons, La Combe de Bédina and Clapière!

Are there anyother activities you’d recommend doing in Les 7 Lauxapart from those you’ve mentioned ?

Although I prefer skiing, I also love snowboarding. I started ski touring this year and it’s really great. I love the new toboggan runs and especially the snakegliss. I also love the accrobranche and the Wiz Luge.

Do you visit the resort in summer? If so, for which activity(ies)?

Yes, I do downhill mountain biking in the summer at the club.

The final word: 3 words that come to mind to define the resort

Off-piste, Freestyle, Freedom.
